President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday that the Tokyo-based parent company of Sprint Corp. has agreed to invest $50 billion and create 50,000 jobs in the United States.
Trump made the remarks standing beside Masayoshi Son, who is chairman of Sprint and CEO of SoftBank Group Corp., which owns more than 80 percent of Sprint.
The Overland Park-based wireless carrier was not mentioned in a brief video of Trump’s comments that ABC posted on Twitter.
Son spoke with reporters after Trump’s comments in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York and said his plans involve new companies.
“We were talking about it, and then I said I’d like to celebrate his presidential job” because Trump will advocate deregulation, Son told reporters according to Bloomberg News. He said he would invest in “new companies, startup companies in the United States.”

AND, Mr Trump has already accomplished more in a month pre-white house/jan 20 than obama the imbecile did in his first 2 or 4 years in office. One might even conclude obama's first 8 years in office pale in comparison to Trump's pre-inaguration couple months.

IMO, the reason the market has been going up up up is because investors look at Trump's decision making process and at the things he has actually done and they see the economy is going to start getting better which means there is going to be more and more investment in the American economy because as everyone in the know knows, corporations have been sitting on huge piles of cash for the past five years because they don't believe the economy has been good enough to invest - and now everyone knows that is all going to start changing.
